We realized that the culinary display in Berlin had no Venezuelan representation, so we got up and decided to create the project Kärrecho and thereby we can present to the Berlin audience, the food - rich in flavor and warmth, of Venezuela.
The idea of Kärrecho was born, when receiving an opportunity at ZK/U - this unique new venue is set to become a lively hub for the transport of ideas and ideals in the postindustrial era in Berlin, to have a food stand in their flea market. Marina and Carlos decide to unite the cooking energies and the design mind - Bymcgs/Mestizen, and create Kärrecho project. This experiment allowed us, to present the typical Venezuelan Arepas in Berlin.
Round, fluffy, juicy, very manifold and always yummy - that's how we roll!
We, that's Su and Alex, roll Knedl, the traditional bread dumplings made in both our homes Südtirol and Steiermark. The main ingredient of the former poor man’s food is dry white bread. Sounds suspicious in the ears of Knedl virgins, we know. But trust us: mixed with delicious fresh ingredients, the admittedly unimpressive dry bread turns into heavenly fluffy balls of pleasure!
